Plan your 2012 kids Vancouver Halloween now

We stopped in for the annual Granville Island Kids Market Halloween event. Have you been there with your kids? I will say it’s a nice place to check out with your kids as part of a Halloween tradition. We will go back next year also.

Last year they had a great magic show for the kids but this year they didn’t have it. Too bad. It was amazing and the magician had our kids laughing like crazy. Smarty Pants is her name. This year there wasn’t extra entertainment but as usual you get free hotdog and hot chocolate for the kids in costume. May I suggest they get more appropriate wieners for children? Seriously, adult size aren’t exactly practical and the smaller ones would save them money.

All the shops around the Kids Market have treats for the kids. Sure it’s loud and lots of activity but it’s all about the kids. It’s about an hour of good fun. You can get free parking, just be persistent and it will happen. Don’t be afraid of Granville Island parking. It opens up quickly as people are in and out all the time. If you want, take the cool little Aquabus. We did that last year and it’s a hoot. They have a few different drop off and pick up spots around false creek area.

Check out the Granville Island Kids market website so you can plan it for your 2012 Halloween and also here is a link to the Aquabus if you want to make it a longer day of fun for the kids.
