Well Occupy Vancouver has flexed their muscle. Or should we say flexed their collective muscle? I love a good protest. People should be able to vent their frustrations. The current Occupy Vancouver situation on the lawn of the Art Gallery is obviously controversial. I’m sure with the announcement of a parade reroute, people will be increasingly frustrated.
There is a split a city hall. The mayor of Vancouver insists that the non confrontational way is important in this instance. The other mayoral candidate sounds like the complete opposite. The general public is probably equally divided. I think Occupy Vancouver has just gotten some new juicy publicity. I certainly hope that they take the extra publicity to voice their issues. Don’t waste the spotlight when you have it folks!
So the Santa Claus parade 2011 gets changed up. Big deal I say. If you’ve never been, then you have no problem. The only side concern I have is that they are going North on Burrard and that’s where the skytrain station is. You want mass congestion Vancouver? You’re about to get it.
